The Bethlehem Garden Club is inviting grant applications for the 2026 calendar year from public or private schools in the Town of Bethlehem and environmental/civic groups whose proposals enhance the environment tailored to involving youth (ages of K – 12th grade).  Proposals need not be just about gardening.  Proposals can include requests for funds for speaker fees, science/ecological supplies, conservation or nature projects, improving nature trails, or other related activities that promote environmental stewardship.

Maximum grant award for the year 2026 is $750.00.  Preference is given to those applicants which demonstrate in their budget a commitment to raise private funds for the proposed project so as to not totally rely on the Club’s grant award to fund the ‘entire’ project.  Note: Grant funds cannot be issued to an individual or for purposes of a field trip or scholarship.  Additionally, partially funded grants may be provided based on available funding.  Deadline:  Grant applications must be received by the BGC no later than January 31, 2026.

Eligibility:  Schools and community organizations that were awarded a grant from the Bethlehem Garden Club for the past two consecutive years (namely 2024 and 2025) are not eligible to apply for a grant in 2026.  However, such successful grantees may apply the following year.

Completed applications should be mailed to:

Chair - Educational Grants Committee
